PlayStation has launched a bug bounty program that pays you for hacking into the system, the latest console, and the latest accessories. Sony is working with HackerOne on this program and invites security researchers, gamers and users to test security in PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Network.
“The security of our products is an integral part of creating amazing experiences for our community,” says the PlayStation blog.
Sony is currently looking for reports on the PS4 System, operating system, accessories and PSN. A critical error in the PSN is $ 3,000, a high-severity error is $ 1,000, a medium-severity error is $ 400, and a low-severity error is $ 100.
The payouts are higher on the PS4, with a critical error payout of $ 50,000, a high severity of $ 10,000, a medium severity of $ 2,500 and a low severity of $ 500.
No errors are currently paid for PS1, PS2, PS3, PS Vita or PSP or for third party software.
