After years of trying to get into the Indian retail sector, Apple is finally set to open an official online store in India. The company will open the Apple Store Online in the country on September 23.
The website will have Apple’s full range of products for sale starting next week. Best of all, though, Indians are finally getting access to iPhone trade-in offers and custom-configured Macs – something that third-party Apple resellers don’t offer.

The online Apple store is a precursor to the company’s physical retail store due to open in India next year. In addition to trade-ins and custom Macs, Apple will also expand Apple Care Plus to Indian customers. The program extends the warranty period of Apple products by up to two years and offers additional functions such as technical support around the clock and protection against accidental damage.
Indian customers can also expect free online Today at Apple events in October. Apple is hosting such sessions in other regions as well, and its first in India will focus on photography and music.
For the festive season, Apple’s online shop in India will offer gift wrapping and personalized engraving services. Engraving of emoji or text in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu will be available for AirPods, and English engraving will be available for iPad and Apple Pencil.
