OnePlus Watch may feature a circular design unlike the Oppo Watch
- The rumored OnePlus watch will have a circular face, according to a Twitter tipster.
- The wearable was listed on an approval list late last month.
- It is possible that the watch is based on the circular chassis of the Vivo Watch.
Concrete evidence of the OnePlus watch resurfaced last month via a government listing. Now an obvious design detail of the wearable has emerged from the Twitter tipster Max J.
It was believed that the wearable OnePlus could be based on the rectangular Oppo watch. However, according to the tipster, the OnePlus watch will adopt a more traditional circular design.
Many don’t seem to understand, so I’ll clear it up. The clock is circular.

The move would be a throwback to the original OnePlus Watch sketches that Carl Pei posted on Twitter in 2016. The company had a product ready to use, but was unable to publish it due to the “cruel market conditions” at the time.
Now that health consciousness is returning to the spotlight on fitness-oriented smartwatches, it seems like the perfect time to bring the device to market.
OnePlus watch: a more powerful Vivo watch?
OnePlus may also not need to create its own circular case from scratch.
The rumored Vivo watch broke its cover earlier this week. It consists of a stainless steel case with leather straps, an AMOLED screen and a variety of sensors. It’s supposed to be below the Oppo Watch in the BBK hacking order, but that wouldn’t stop OnePlus from using the same steel case with more premium Snapdragon 4100-based hardware.
It remains unclear when the OnePlus Watch might make its debut, but the existence of the regulatory listing suggests it could be pretty soon. It’s possible that the wearable will hit the market later this year alongside a flagship smartphone like the rumored OnePlus 8T.
