The company took a unique approach to the OnePlus Nord CE launch event. The opening video had what appeared to be a plot, with the host of the video being caught and interrogated in a scene that was sometimes funny but mostly unpleasant.
It seems the company will try something like this again for the OnePlus Nord 2 launch. Today the company shared the following picture on the Northern Instagram account. It appears to show a Nord 2 surrounded by characters we can only assume to be characters in what OnePlus calls “OnePlus Nord: Part Deux, an addicting blockbuster launch”.

Regardless of what this illustration is meant to mean, it seems to confirm the Nord 2’s rear design. Incidentally, the design corresponds to the previously leaked renderings by the reliable speaker Steve Hemmerstoffer.
We’ll have to wait until July 22nd to see what the other, um … stuff in this illustration means. For now, however, we can close the week by knowing that the OnePlus Nord 2 will basically be a toned-down OnePlus 9R that was itself a toned-down version of the OnePlus 9.
