OnePlus’ next phone will launch in Europe and India first
OnePlus has a new phone. After starting his teases Monday with contributions to “New Beginnings” On Tuesday, Pete Lau, CEO of the Chinese smartphone maker, released an update to the company’s forum, confirming that a new “affordable” smartphone from the company will soon be available.
“I am very pleased to announce today that we are bringing the premium flagship experience that you expect from OnePlus to a new, more affordable smartphone product line,” writes Lau. “I know this is something many of you have wanted for a long time.”
“We know that there are many people who are looking for a really solid smartphone that meets their daily needs and offers a cheaper price.”
Lau adds that the new phone, which is said to be called OnePlus Z or OnePlus 8 Lite, will first be launched in Europe and India. In the meantime, North America has to wait, although the company “also wants to bring cheaper smartphones to North America in the near future”.
No prices, specs, or release dates were given for the new phone, which the company continues to tease through a private Instagram account called OnePlusLiteZThing.
Rumors and a leaked poll discovered by XDA developers suggest that the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and an optical fingerprint sensor the screen that supports 5G, has either 6 GB or 12 GB RAM and three rear cameras anchored by a 64 megapixel main gunner.
Rumor has it that the price may be $ 299, the same starting price as the company’s first phone, the OnePlus One.
