OnePlus confirms much faster Warp Charge coming to the 8T
- According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 8T will come with a new 65W adapter.

OnePlus has Approved The OnePlus 8T comes with a new 65W warp charging adapter.
The company says the charger can charge the 8T’s 4,500 mAh battery to 58% in 39 minutes and about 15 minutes. The reason the Warp Charge 65 can charge the 8T so quickly is because of a new battery design. OnePlus’ latest phone is a side of sister brand Oppo and features a dual battery layout that allows 65 Warp Charge to charge both cells at more than 30W at the same time.

The adapter itself also has a new design that promises better compatibility with other devices. A new USB-C port supports PD fast charging protocol at 45W so you can use it to charge your other devices including tablets and computers. It is also fully compatible with all previous OnePlus devices.
The updated design is rounded off by two additional encryption chips that are integrated into the charger and the supplied cable and work in conjunction with 12 temperature sensors in the OnePlus 8T to ensure that the phone is always charged as efficiently as possible. According to OnePlus, the 8T’s heat dissipation system has also been optimized to keep the phone as cool as possible while charging for charging.
OnePlus will officially launch the 8T on October 14th. Until then, the company should continue to slowly exchange new information. Just recently, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the phone will have a 120 Hz display. So there’s a good chance we’ll find out more over the phone in the three weeks leading up to October 14th.
