OnePlus 9 Pro’s wireless charging might be even faster than you think
- A leak suggests that the OnePlus 9 Pro has 50W wireless charging.

Previous rumors of super-fast wireless charging on the OnePlus 9 Pro may have been conservative. The famous delicacy Ishan Agarwal told the story Pricebaba The OnePlus 9 Pro is said to have 50W wireless charging – even faster than the 45W previously claimed and well beyond the 30W you’ve seen in the 8 Pro.
Unsurprisingly, OnePlus would launch a 50W wireless charging station alongside the 9 Pro. Details on this will not be disclosed, although it is believed that active cooling will be required to handle the heat from high-speed inductive power. This charger is probably a must-have for full performance as well, as it goes way beyond the standard Qi spec.

According to a previous leak from Max Jambor, the standard OnePlus 9 is also said to include wireless charging, although it’s not clear that it would be that powerful.
If exactly, it would be no small matter. A 50W wireless option wouldn’t lag far behind the already confirmed 65W wired charge for the 9 Pro – you could be charging your phone in minutes without looking for a cord.
More details on the phone are expected at OnePlus’ virtual event on March 23.
Whether or not you will want to use this feature often is not certain. Quickly charging in these stages can wear out the battery in the first place. Wireless charging naturally also wastes energy. Always charging your device this way could result in a slightly higher electricity bill. However, the option may still be appreciated, and there is evidence of an even faster 100W charge on the horizon.
