OnePlus 8T vs OnePlus 8 (prepare to be surprised)
By this point, you’ve probably had the chance to read our OnePlus 8T review to find out how the phone compares to its predecessor, the OnePlus 8. Gary Sims is here to speak about the latest Speed Test G Challenge to help.
Despite the two phones with the same Snapdragon 865 chipset, the benchmarks in its comparison between the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 don’t play as you can imagine. After an initial tour, the OnePlus 8T ultimately loses the competition with the older OnePlus 8. In the end, the difference is small, but the 8 completes the test suite in 2.1 seconds less than the 8T.
Note that benchmarks do not provide a complete picture of a phone’s performance in everyday use. When you put the two phones next to each other, it would seem to most people that the 8T is the faster phone with a refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the results show how little has changed between the two devices.
