Update: September 18, 2020 (6 a.m. ET): A new open beta build for Oxygen OS is available for OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro.
OnePlus announced the launch of Open Beta 8 in a forum post. The patch fixes minor bug fixes with notifications and the screen recorder, as well as improvements to Game Space and Community apps. Android’s September 2020 security patch and GMS’s August 2020 patch are also included.
Those currently running a beta version of Oxygen OS will receive this build as an OTA update. Others can download it here.

Welcome to the update hub for OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Android updates for the two devices, including the current versions and when future updates are expected to arrive.
Both the 7T and 7T Pro run Oxygen OS, OnePlus’ proprietary Android skin. Oxygen OS is known for quick updates that take a long time. So make sure you bookmark this page and visit frequently.
Note that the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro sometimes receive updates at the same time. Also note that the T-Mobile variant of the OnePlus 7T may receive software updates at a later date.
OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro updates

OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro were launched on September 26, 2019 and October 10, 2019, respectively. Both started with the latest version of Android (Android 10). Both devices are expected to receive at least two major Android updates in the future – Android 11 in 2020 and Android 12 in 2021. It is possible that it will also receive an update to Android 13 in 2022 as the OnePlus 3T received four Android variants during the lifetime of the update (Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo and Pie).

OnePlus introduced Oxygen OS 10.0.5 for OnePlus 7T on November 7, 2019. The update brought the Android security patch to October 2019 and fixes an issue with the double-click gesture when activating the screen. This is in addition to a number of general bug fixes and stability improvements.
On November 15, 2019, OnePlus began rolling out Oxygen OS 10.0.6 for OnePlus 7T. The update brought optimizations for the standby power consumption and the extended screenshot function. It also improved Bluetooth connectivity in cars.

In the meantime, the OnePlus 7T Pro received the Oxygen OS 10.0.4 update. GSMArena discovered the 166MB update that brought the phone’s security patch to October 2019. Like the OnePlus 7T update, it optimized standby power, Bluetooth and extended screenshots. OnePlus has also fixed the black bar issue when loading or playing a video.
In addition, both phones received general bug fixes and stability improvements.
In December, OnePlus introduced Oxygen OS 10.0.7 for OnePlus 7T and Oxygen OS 10.0.05 for OnePlus 7T Pro. The new updates improved the launch speed of some apps, streamlined RAM management, fixed black and white screen issues, and updated the Android security patch to November 2019.
More recently, February 2020 brought Oxygen OS 10.0.7 (EU and global) and 10.3.1 (India) for OnePlus 7T Pro. This brought in the January 2020 security patch, bug fixes, and several other minor improvements.
In March, the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro received their first open beta update. The update brought the February 2020 security patch, better RAM management, and several fixes. The biggest change, however, was Live Caption, which followed in the footsteps of the Google Pixel series and the Galaxy S20 family.
The second Open Beta followed at the end of March and brought the March 2020 security patch, the instant translation function and the improved adaptive brightness.
Shortly afterwards, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren 5G received the stable update for Oxygen OS 10.0.31. The update was introduced for the T-Mobile variant and included 5G improvements, the security patch for March, and other general bug fixes.
We also saw the Open Beta 3 for the OnePlus 7T series land on May 15, bringing warnings of dirty lenses for the camera, 4K recording via the ultra-wide shooter, and 960 fps video. In addition, the security patch for April 2020 has been packed. The Open Beta 4 update arrived on May 21st. It fixed some issues and wrapped up the May 2020 security update.
We recently saw that OnePlus released the Open Beta 4 update for the OnePlus 7T series on May 28th. Oxygen OS 10.3.3 Update for India and Oxygen OS 10.0.11 Update for Global Devices were discovered by XDA developer and brings a few notable features. Some of the most famous additions are recording at 960 frames per second, the Epic Games store in Game Space on Indian devices, and Dolby Atmos support for Bullets Wireless Z.
In June, OnePlus launched Oxygen OS Beta 5 for the OnePlus 7T series. The update added a few new features and lots of minor fixes that phone owners will appreciate. One of the biggest changes in this update was a new dark mode toggle that many users have wanted for a long time. With this update, the security patch for June was also released. OnePlus began rolling out Oxygen OS 10.3.4 for OnePlus 7T in India on August 4th. Oxygen OS 10.0.12 for global markets followed later. In a forum post, the company announced that the update would support the OnePlus Buds, include a number of new watch styles, and bring the Android security patch for July 2020.
On August 10th, Oxygen OS Open Beta 8 was added, adding new user support features, optimizations for the Messages app, and improvements to Wi-Fi transmission stability.
