Nothing, the new company founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, will launch audio products later this year. The company spiced up a concept for wireless earbuds earlier this year and it has now been confirmed that the first product is called Ear 1 and will be available next month.
The ear 1 is, as the name suggests, an earphone. Nothing also posted a teaser image showing that we are definitely looking at real wireless buds, which is no surprise given the concept product. You can check out the picture at the top of the page.
“Today we are celebrating and we are looking forward to the upcoming launch of Ear 1 in June,” says an excerpt from the company’s latest blog post. This fits right in with the summer launch window previously announced by the company, but we don’t have a specific launch date yet.
It also sounds like Nothing is already considering a follow-up, as it suggests an obvious name for a successor to Ear 1.
“Can you guess what the sequel will be called? Well. So do we, ”stated the company.
