Nintendo is releasing a special Fortnite edition Switch

Nintendo Switch Fortnite Limited Edition

  • Nintendo has unveiled a Fortnite Limited Edition Switch with a custom design.
  • It also includes free toiletries and V-Bucks.
  • It reaches Europe on October 30th and arrives in Australia and New Zealand on November 6th.

If you thought the limited edition Deer crossing Switch was a coveted item, you haven’t seen anything yet. Nintendo Life (over Kotaku) reports that Nintendo is releasing a Fortnite special edition of the Switch with a unique design and many software extras.

The blue and yellow Joy-Cons are the most noticeable changes from a standard Switch, but this version includes many more subtle Fortnite imagery. You can find the faces of many famous Fortnite characters on both the back of the console and on the dock.

As expected, this switch comes with Fortnite pre-installed. It also gives you plenty of things to highlight, including the Wildcat outfit (plus two additional models), Sleek Strike Back Bling (and two additional models), and 2,000 V-Bucks to spend on other cosmetic items. Even if you don’t have a season pass, don’t get stuck with standard equipment.

Nintendo has already released Fortnite bundles, but they contain the usual switch systems.

Depending on where you live, you may have to wait a while to get the Switch. It will be available in Europe on October 30th, while Australia and New Zealand will have their turn on November 6th. There is no mention of a North American release, but these limited switches tend to hit the continent on time. The price in Australia is AU $ 470 (US $ 342), although European prices have not yet been given.

It’s not a completely surprising start. The Christmas shopping frenzy is approaching and there is more pressure than ever to sell switches between a pandemic-induced surge in demand and new competition from the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The biggest highlight was a series of Super Mario games for the 35th anniversary . Not only did Nintendo’s limited Fortnite Edition keep sales strong, it also managed to give people a reason to buy now instead of waiting for a possible updated switch in 2021.
