Tesla caused a sensation with the release of Smart Summon last year. This allows a Tesla to pick up an owner in some cases and the owner’s watchful eye to ensure everyone’s safety. However, the summoning function could become even more intelligent by the end of 2020.
According to comments released by Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk on Twitter this Thursday, the company is working to include a “reverse summon” feature as part of an expanded feature Full Self-Driving Option numerous owners have paid in advance. The passengers could leave their Tesla and the car would find a parking space on its own. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on further information.
