TL; DR

  • Today, during its E3 2021 conference, Razer unveiled its new compact gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 14.
  • The laptop has the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. It’s the company’s very first AMD laptop.
  • In addition, the company has launched a new 27-inch monitor in its Raptor range.

E3 2021 is now in full swing. At the event, gaming company Razer just unveiled a couple of new products, including a compact gaming laptop and a powerful gaming monitor.

The laptop is the Razer Blade 14, the brand’s first 14-inch gaming laptop in years. It’s also the first with an AMD processor, ending the company’s lifelong streak of only offering Intel-powered machines.

The monitor isn’t that revolutionary, but it’s no less cool. It’s a 27-inch performance beast with cool RGB lighting at the base. Check out all the information you need below!

As mentioned earlier, the highlight of this machine is the processor, which is AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX. This is the top of the line laptop processor from AMD that offers incredible performance while draining battery power and keeping things cool and quiet.

When you combine this with the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, you have a gaming beast. This is all the more remarkable given that all of that power is housed in a 14-inch case, making it one of the smallest gaming laptops Razer has ever made. Of its current list, only the Blade Stealth 13 surpasses it in terms of compactness, but that will be grossly underpowered when compared to the Razer Blade 14.

Other specifications include IPS gaming monitors from Full HD at 144 Hz to Quad HD at 165 Hz, two USB-C 3.2 ports with power supply, two USB-A ports for your legacy connections, an HDMI 2.1 port full size and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Of course, it also comes with the signature RGB keyboard lighting you’ve come to expect from any Razer laptop.

The Razer Blade 14 starts at $ 1,799. It is available now from Razer.com and will be available from other retail partners shortly.

Razer Raptor 27

While the Razer Blade 14 may now be the best laptop for on the go, what if you want to play at home? Razer has you covered here with the all-new Raptor 27. As the name suggests, it is a 27-inch gaming monitor.

Outwardly, the monitor doesn’t look too different from the Raptor 27 you might already own. However, this has some notable upgrades over its predecessor. First, it has a refresh rate of 165 Hz, which is slightly better than the 144 Hz rate on the previous model. However, it still has the same Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440).

Next up, the Raptor 27 will be the first PC monitor to receive THX certification. It’s not just coming from Razer – this is a first for the industry in general. This ensures that it offers accurate colors, tones, and images for the most meticulous players.

Finally, along with the Raptor 27, Razer is also releasing the Raptor VESA adapter. With this VESA adapter you can mount this Raptor 27 – or any previous Raptor – on the wall or on a mounting arm. That will of course force you to lose the cool RGB lighting on the Raptor base.

The Razer Raptor 27 will hit the market early in the third quarter of 2021 for $ 799. The VESA adapter will cost $ 99 / € 99 at around the same time. Both products will be available on Razer.com, but only the Raptor will be sold by other third-party suppliers.
