New leak spills Bose QuietComfort 45 renders and specs
TL; DR
- A new leak has shed additional light on the upcoming Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones.
- The headphones were first spotted by the FCC in July.
- They will reportedly offer improved battery life, lighter build, and more for $ 329.
We first got wind of the Bose QuietComfort 45 when the headphones passed the FCC last month. The listing revealed a lot, including the design and button layout of the cans. Now, a new leak has shed a little more light on Bose’s upcoming flagship headphones, including core specs and apparent marketing renders.
Accordingly WinFuture, Bose is committed to reducing the size and weight of the headphones. The headphone’s body is made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, while the shell material is made of synthetic leather. A 3.5mm headphone jack returns, as confirmed by the FCC images, while Bluetooth is upgraded to version 5.1.
The QuietComfort 45 is visually reminiscent of earlier Bose headphone models. The button layout also remains consistent, which should familiarize those upgrading from previous models.
The QuietComfort 45 will reportedly have multi-device support and environment detection mode, which uses built-in microphones to let audio from the environment pass through. Active noise cancellation will again be the headlining feature, but it’s unclear whether or how Bose is improving this system.

Finally, in terms of battery life, the QuietComfort 45 will reportedly include a smaller 450 mAh cell compared to the 495 MHz of its QC35 series siblings. Even so, Bose apparently claims up to 24 hours of playback per charge. However, it is unclear whether this value is measured with the ANC on or off.
The alleged improvements come with a small surcharge. WinFuture claims the Bose QuietComfort 45 will sell for $ 329 in the US. Nothing is yet known about a European price, although the headphones are said to be “soon” on sale in the region.
