Netflix remains the leading premium streaming service with over 200 million subscribers worldwide. It has thousands of movies and TV shows to watch, including its ever-growing list of original movies and series, including Stranger Things, The Witcher, Bridgerton, and many more.

What is Netflix Tudum?

It is a streaming event for the streaming service that currently has over 200 million paying subscribers worldwide. It will include new trailers, news about upcoming TV shows and movies, and appearances by some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

Where does “Tudum” come from?

The made up word Tudum is said to be the tone that accompanies the Netflix logo when you first start the service or when you play a Netflix show or movie. Some people referred to this sound as “Tadam” before Netflix launched this fan event. This means that Tudum is now the “official” spelling of this logo sound.

When is the event?

The main Netflix Tudum event will be on Saturday, September 25th, starting at 12 p.m. Eastern Time (9 a.m. Pacific Time). It’s supposed to take a whopping three hours (but still not as long as The Irishman).

In addition to the main event Tudum, Netflix will present some additional content separately on the same day. New amin revelations from Japan will be shown on Saturday starting at 8 a.m. Eastern Time. New and upcoming Netflix shows and films from South Korea will have their own streaming event from 9 a.m. East. Finally, new Netflix series and films from India will be shown from 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

As if that wasn’t enough, Netflix Geeked will have its own live watch party for the Tudum event on Netflix Geeked starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time Twitter, Facebook and TikTok channels. This event promises additional content not on the main Tudum show, along with new interviews and celebrity cameos.

Where can I watch Netflix Tudum?

Ironically, the event doesn’t take place on Netflix itself. Instead, the service primarily uses Google’s YouTube to stream Tudum on its main Netflix channel, as well as localized Netflix YouTube channels in other markets. The event will also be streamed on Netflix’s Twitter and Twitch accounts.

The pre-shows also use local YouTube channels, including Netflix Japan for its anime show, Netflix Korea for its Korean showcase, and Netflix India for its Indian pre-show.

What will be shown during the event?

Oh boy! Indeed, there is a reason Netflix Tudum will be three hours long. The streaming service has so many shows and movies coming up that it could make the event twice as long if it wanted to. What do we expect from the event?

We’d be very surprised if Netflix Tudum didn’t show us new teaser trailers for the upcoming seasons of The Witcher, Cobra Kai, Bridgeton, The Witcher and especially the long-awaited fourth season of Stranger Things. We’re sure to get new trailers for Netflix’s big fall films Red Notice and Don’t Look Up as well.
