Motorola Edge 20 series: Hot or not?
The new Edge series phones from Motorola are here. None of the three new devices in the new Edge 20 series has the premium Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, the top-end Motorola Edge 20 Pro with its Snapdragon 870 SoC is almost a flagship. In the middle of the product range is the standard Motorola Edge 20, which has the medium, but powerful Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC. At the lowest end is the Edge 20 Lite with its inexpensive MediaTek Dimensity 720 silicon.
That said, the new Motos bring many desirable features with them. Both the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro, for example, get 144 Hz OLED displays, while the Edge 20 Lite gets by with a 90 Hz OLED panel. All three phones have a 108 MP main camera and large batteries – 4,000 mAh for the Vanilla Edge 20, 4,500 mAh for the Edge 20 Pro, and 5,000 mAh for the Edge 20 Lite.
