Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Fusion hit India: 108MP, high refresh rate
Motorola Edge 20 series was launched worldwide last month, but at that time, we have not received any details on a launch in India. Fortunately, the series has finally come to India, even though the top-of-the-line Edge 20 Pro didn’t make the breakthrough. Instead, Indian consumers can choose between the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion.
The Edge 20 is an upper mid-range offering with a 6.99 mm thin design, a Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 144 Hz FHD + OLED screen (6.7 inches), a 4,000 mAh battery with 30- W charging cable.
Motorola’s device also has a fairly flexible rearview camera system with a 108 MP main shooter, 8 MP 3X telephoto lens, and a 16 MP ultra-wide camera (119-degree field of view). Other notable features include a fingerprint sensor under the display, a 32-megapixel selfie camera in a central hole cutout, IP52 rating, and Android 11.

Meanwhile, the Edge 20 Fusion is essentially the Edge 20 Lite with a chipset change. That means you get the Mediatek Dimensity 800U SoC instead of the Dimensity 720 processor of the Edge 20 Lite. The rest of the core specs include a 6.7-inch 90 Hz OLED screen, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 30 W charge.
In terms of camera experience, the Edge 20 Fusion brings a 108 MP main shooter, an 8 MP ultra-wide snapper (118-degree FoV), and a 2 MP depth sensor. You also get a 32 MP snapper for selfies, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP52 rating, and Android 11.
Motorola Edge 20 series pricing for India
The Edge 20 has a retail price of Rs 29,999 (~ $ 404) over Flipkart, which gets you the 8GB / 128GB model. You can get the phone in the color variants, Frosted Emerald or Frosted Pearl. The device will go on sale on August 24th at 12:00 PM IST.
Meanwhile, the Edge 20 Fusion is selling for Rs 21,499 (~ $ 289) through Flipkart for the 6GB / 128GB variant. This device is available in Cyber Teal and Electric Graphite color options. The Edge 20 Fusion will be available starting August 27th at 12:00 PM EST.
Motorola also promises a “safe upgrade” to Android 12 and 13, as well as two years of security patches. We’ll have to wait and see if it actually does, but the company doesn’t have the best track record of updates.
