Moto G9 Plus launches with a Snapdragon 730G and 6.8-inch screen
- Motorola has officially launched the Moto G9 Plus
- The phone has a large body with a 5,000 mAh battery and a headphone jack.
- The Moto G9 Plus is available in Brazil for ~ $ 470.
Shortly after the Moto G9 Play launched at the end of last month, Motorola has now introduced its bigger sibling, the Moto G9 Plus.
Visually, the end product is exactly what has been shown in previous leaks, including a hole-hole screen, a high-gloss body, and a fairly strong camera bump. The phone as a whole also takes up quite a space.
While it doesn’t compete with the 2020 flagships, it’s worth noting how big the Moto G9 Plus is. It’s bigger and heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, weighs over 220 grams and is 170 mm long, 79 mm wide and almost 10 mm deep.

The Moto G9 Plus also has a 6.8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 on its face. It could be a difficult task to use with one hand.
Internally, Motorola uses the Snapdragon 730G with 128 GB of memory, but makes compromises with only 4 GB of RAM. Thankfully, these cuts don’t extend to the battery. The Moto G9 Plus has a 5,000 mAh chip and can be topped up with a 30 W charging system.
For the mobile photographer, the Moto G9 Plus is accompanied by a 64MP f / 1.8 snapper on the back, which is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP sensor is used for selfies.
There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC.
Moto G9 Plus: price and availability
The Moto G9 Plus is available now in Brazil for 2,499 Brazilian reals (~ $ 470) in two colors, namely rose gold and indigo blue.
Although currency conversions in other countries don’t always result in prices, this sticker price is higher than other Snapdragon 730G devices, including Google’s Pixel 4a and the Samsung Galaxy M51.
Previous leaks indicated a price of € 277 (~ $ 325) in Europe. Given Brazil’s history of high technology prices, we can expect the G9 Plus to be a bit cheaper when it arrives in other markets.
