Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in China earlier this month, which promises a variety of system-related improvements and bug fixes. We did not get any global details at that time, but the manufacturer has now disclosed information in its forum.
The company confirmed that the global version of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced will land on smartphones from Q4 2021. The initial list isn’t huge, but it consists of a variety of flagships for 2020 and 2021. You can check out the list below:

- Mi 11 Ultra
- Wed 11i
- Mi 11X Pro

- Mi 10T Pro

To freshen up, Xiaomi says that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced brings several performance-related optimizations. One notable claim is that system performance should decrease less than 5% after 36 months. There’s also something called an Atomic or Atomized Memory feature that lets you keep more apps in the background.
Xiaomi noted at the time of the Chinese launch that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced also fixed 160 system problems and over 220 system app problems. So we suspect that most of these fixes will also be included in the global version of the Android skin.
