Microsoft’s Family Safety app helps parents with internet safety, screen time limits

A limited preview of the Microsoft Family Safety app is launched for iOS and Android. The app is intended to help parents find a digital balance that gives their children digital independence while setting limits, Microsoft said in a press release.

With the Family Safety app you can start discussions about internet security and screen deadlines. In addition, the app offers content controls and activity reports – such as the top websites visited, terms searched and location approval. Microsoft plans to add driving safety features in the coming months.

To Sign up for the preview, a Family group through Microsoft and then fill out a form that will be provided. Microsoft said availability was limited.

Microsoft announced the Family Safety app in March as part of two different 365 experiences planned for the rollout in the coming months.
