- Microsoft just confirmed the Xbox Series S.
- The console retails for $ 299.
- It will be the smallest Xbox ever made.
A couple of hours ago we reported on the leaked design and price of the upcoming Xbox Series S console. Microsoft has now confirmed this.
Surprisingly, the official Xbox handle handles it on Twitter announced The $ 299 price for the Xbox Series S. Microsoft went a step further and actually revealed what the game console looks like. Just to get it out of there, the leak was struck.
The Xbox Series S has a more compact design than the new Xbox Series X. Microsoft calls it the “smallest Xbox ever”. In fact, it’s so small that it can fit inside the giant Xbox Series X machine, as shown by a previously leaked video.
The console is similar to the Xbox One S and has a controller sync button and a USB-A port upfront. The on / off switch in the shape of the X also corresponds to the Xbox consoles of the older generation. The picture confirms that you can hold the Xbox Series S vertically with one air duct facing up and another facing out. You should also be able to lay the console flat on a table.
Microsoft didn’t reveal anything else about the Xbox Series S, but the previous leak suggested it could be released along with the Xbox Series X on November 10th.
Previous leaks have also indicated that the Xbox Series S will have the same processor as the Xbox Series X, but will reduce GPU performance and memory.
I think we’ll just have to wait to find out more about the new console. We will keep you updated as we get more details on this.
