Microsoft may have just revealed Android app support for Xbox

Microsoft will be offering Android app support for Windows 11 in the coming months, so you can enjoy some of the best mobile apps on your desktop, laptop, or Windows tablet. Now it looks like the appropriate software to enable this feature has come online.
XDA developer discovered the appearance of the Windows subsystem for Android in the Microsoft Store and can also download it. Unfortunately, the point of sale found that the app only shows a black window when it starts.
More interesting, however, is the fact that this app page lists the Xbox as a compatible device. More specifically, the Xbox One is listed as the minimum requirement. Take a look at the screenshot below.
The system requirements also give us an idea of what to expect on the PC and require Windows 10 version 22000.0 or higher and at least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended).
However, this is the first time we’ve heard of Android app support that may be available on Xbox consoles. However, we’re not sure if the Xbox mention is just placeholder text or a legitimate endorsement of this feature on consoles. It’s also worth noting that this app listing appears to be for internal testing only, so it might be possible that Microsoft is simply experimenting with this feature on consoles rather than preparing for a full release.
Even so, Android app support on Xbox consoles would be welcome for a number of reasons. For one, this would open the door for Android games to be ported to the consoles (although we hope there is good quality control here). Then there is the fact that some streaming services don’t have Xbox apps but have Android clients.
