Huawei is ready to launch its first desktop PC in a market outside of China. As discovered by HuaweiCentralthe Mate Station S could soon be available in Malaysia. Huawei touts the machine as a compact computer with a custom cooling system that ensures quiet operation and minimal throttling.

The Mate Station S is very different from the early desktop products, but it appears to be a redesigned Mate Station B515 – a Windows machine that was introduced in China late last year.

The Mate Station S has a slightly optimized aesthetic, an AMD Ryzen 5 4600G CPU with 8 GB DDR4 RAM with 3,200 MHz and 256 GB M.2 SSD storage. There are also additional expansion slots. It is unclear which company is supplying the motherboard or whether it is a device developed by Huawei. The Mate Station S also runs Windows 10, which should make it more attractive beyond China.

Huawei isn’t primarily aimed at individual buyers, however. The Mate Station S also has a serial port on the back, indicating its usefulness as a business-oriented machine. A VGA port and an HDMI port are your video output options, while a USB-C port is available on the front. There are also wireless options including Bluetooth 5.0 and dual band WiFi.

Huawei also sells the Mate Station S, which comes with a 23.8-inch display and an optional smart keyboard. The latter offers Huawei’s one-tap sharing compatibility with its mobile devices and a fingerprint scanner.

The prices for the Huawei Mate Station S are not yet known. While the PC is listed in the Malaysian Huawei store, price and availability information is missing. We have contacted Huawei regarding international availability details and will update this article when we receive a response.
