LG Velvet 2 Pro, Rollable now on sale to LG employees only
- LG is reportedly selling its unreleased smartphones to its Korea-based employees.
- The devices offered include the LG Rainbow / Velvet 2 Pro and the LG Rollable per leak.

Before LG announced its retirement from the mobile space, LG was still working on a few devices. One of them was the LG Rainbow or the LG Velvet 2 Pro. Now it appears that the company is selling this device in Korea, but only employees can buy it.
Leaked information posted by on Twitter over the weekend @FrontTron notes that only around 3,000 units are available from LG Korea employees. The phone looks similar to the original Velvet, but has a “pressure-sensitive touch sensor button” to control volume and power. Three color variants, namely glossy black, glossy beige and a “bimetal bronze” round off the look.
There’s not a word on the specs, but there is a triple rear camera with larger lenses than its predecessor and a selfie shooter with water drops. In terms of price, LG is offering workers the Velvet 2 Pro for around $ 170 – a fraction of the price that the original LG Velvet offered. There is a catch, however. The company is also reportedly selling the LG Rollable to employees in Korea. Rumor has it that the rollable packed a pull-out display and a flagship silicone underneath. LG never pushed its newest Explorer Project device out the door, despite several teasers.
LG announced its intention to withdraw from the wireless market in April. So don’t expect the company to suddenly bring out more of these devices. You probably won’t find these phones on the wild internet either. LG prohibits their resale.
