Leaked Galaxy S21 Plus photos show off a flat display
- A leak appears to indicate a flat display on the Galaxy S21 Plus.
- It also shows what the two-tone design might look like in real life.
- Samsung is expected to announce more on January 14th.
Samsung seems poised to join Apple and others in getting rid of curved screens on at least some of its high-end phones. YouTuber Mauri QHD has Posted What he claims are real photos of the Galaxy S21 Plus, and they suggest that you can get a really flat display on the bigger (but not biggest) 2021 flagship.
While some leaks suggested that the Galaxy S21 Plus might have a flat display, that leaves little doubt as to whether it’s correct – there’s not even a reference to the 2.5D glass you see on other phones have seen. The scoop also offers a glimpse of what the rumored two-tone purple-gold body might look like in the real world.
It’s not sure if the Galaxy S21 Ultra will share the Plus’ flat display, but the smaller, standard S21 is also expected to have a curve-free screen. All three are set to a refresh rate of 120Hz, although normal S21 and S21 Plus owners may have to settle for 1080p output instead of 1440p.

Mauri QHD has a relatively unproven track record, but both photos look authentic and are consistent with the leaks that have occurred so far.
You might not have to wait long to find out the full story. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S21 series on January 14th, which will be available later this month. The Plus model may even be relatively easy to access with a starting price of $ 1,049 compared to $ 1,200 for the S20 Plus predecessor. If this information is correct, it can be easy to leave your curved screen phone stuck in the past.
