TL; DR

  • The JBL Flip 6 portable bluetooth speaker has better battery life and durability than the Flip 5.
  • With the 710 and 110, the company is expanding its range of party boxes, the latter being available immediately.
  • It added a variety of true wireless earbuds to its portfolio and expanded the Reflect Flow, Tune and Endurance product lines; next to the Quantum 350 gaming headset and the JBL JR460NC children’s headphones.

While we’ve known for some time that IFA 2021 is a no-go, that didn’t stop JBL from renewing its line of speakers, headphones and earphones when the convention would have taken place. With this flurry of noise-canceling earbuds, party speakers, and headphones, something is sure to catch your eye. The most striking product, however, is likely to be the JBL Flip 6.

JBL Flip 6

JBL Flip series bluetooth speakers are one of the most widely used. The Flip 6 promises to upgrade its previous generation with better sound quality and a more durable, dust and waterproof IP67 construction. The Flip 6 has a dual passive radiator system, along with the woofer and tweeter, which should deliver better audio quality.

Just like the Flip 5, the Flip 6 works with JBL PartyBoost, so you can link two PartyBoost speakers together for stereo playback. PartyBoost also lets you wirelessly connect up to 100 compatible speakers for loud mono playback. JBL added Bluetooth 5.1 firmware and a more impressive 12 hour battery life to this everyday speaker.

The JBL Flip 6 will be available in the US in December and will cost you $ 129.95. JBL will release the Flip 6 in Europe this November for € 139. It is available in five color options: Gray Stone, River Teal, Ocean Blue, Midnight Black or Squad.

JBL Partybox 110 and Partybox 710

Both the JBL Party Box 110 and the Party Box 710 make it possible to take the party with you wherever you go. These speakers have a lot in common such as an IPX4 rating, Bluetooth and USB inputs, and support from the JBL PartyBox app. When music is streamed through the party box, a synchronized light show shines from the embedded RGB lights. If there are multiple party box speakers in close proximity, you can connect them to JBL’s one-touch true wireless stereo to double the volume. Musically inclined owners can even connect a guitar and microphone to each party box.

Differences between the two speakers have a lot to do with output power. The party box 710 has an output of 800 W RMS, which clearly exceeds the output of the party box 110 with 160 W. The larger party box also has wheels. The 110 model has something that the 710 lacks: 12 hours of battery life. In contrast to the Party Box 710, the smaller loudspeaker does not require a power source to function.

The JBL PartyBox 110 is available now for $ 399.95 / 359 euros, the JBL PartyBox 710 will be available on November 14th in the US for $ 799.95 and will be available in October for 749 euros in Europe be.

JBL Quantum 350

The Quantum 350 joins the ranks of other gaming headsets from JBL and uses a well-known 2.4 GHz USB dongle adapter for lossless, lag-free wireless streaming. PC gamers can use JBL QuantumEngine software to customize the headset, which wears the company’s QuantumSound profile and works with JBL QuantumSurround. As we’ve seen earlier, the Quantum 350 features a Discord certified detachable boom microphone.

It has a battery life of 22 hours and only five minutes of charging via the included USB-C cable allows a use of 60 minutes. The comfortable, lightweight construction enables hours of gaming sessions thanks to the synthetic leather memory foam ear pads. Players of all game types will enjoy the Quantum 350 for € 99.95 / € 119 when it launches this month.

JBL Reflect Flow Pro

The Reflect Flow Pro true wireless earbuds support both Active Noise Canceling (ANC) and Smart Ambient mode, the latter amplifying background noise to make you aware of your surroundings. Six embedded microphones promote clear voice transmission during conference calls and assist with ANC. These versatile earbuds also deserve an IP68 rating, so they’re just as at home on the beach as they are on your next run.

The battery life is quite good with eight hours of playtime with activated noise cancellation and an additional 20 hours of playback via the wireless charging case. The case can quickly charge the earbuds with a 10 minute charge and offers 60 minutes of playtime. You can say “Hey Google” to activate the digital assistant and the headset will use Bluetooth 5.0 to connect to your smartphone. Thanks to JBL Dual Connect + Sync, both earphones can be used independently of each other. This allows you to determine which earbuds to use for phone calls and to assign certain functions to one earbud over the other.

The JBL Headphones app makes it easy to customize the touch controls on these everyday earphones. The JBL Reflect Flow Pro will be available on November 14th for $ 179.95.

JBL Tune 230NC and Tune 130NC

Tune 230NC and Tune 130NC share a number of functions, the former being the premium headset. Let’s start with the similarities. Both ANC true wireless earbuds offer eight hours of battery life with the ANC switched on and an additional 24 hours of gaming time out of the case. The quick charging efficiency is also identical: 10 minutes of charging time ensures 60 minutes of playing time. Both the Tune 230NC and the Tune 130NC use Bluetooth 5.2, support Dual Connect + Sync, accommodate an array with four microphones and work with the JBL Headphones app.

So what about the differences? Well, the Tune 230 has a popular stem design that contrasts with the traditional earbud design of the Tune 130. Another difference: the JBL Tune 230NC uses dynamic 5.8 mm drivers – slightly smaller compared to the 10 mm drivers of the Tune 130NC. This may sound strange as many believe bigger drivers are better, but it’s not that simple.

Both the JBL Tune 230NC and JBL Tune 130NC will be available on October 17 for $ 99.95. Both models are available in three colors: black, white and blue.

JBL long distance races

The true Endurance Race wireless earbuds complement the company’s activity headsets. These earbuds have an IP67 rating that protects them from dust and water damage, a small footprint, and fast charging. The Endurance Race lasts 10 hours on a single charge, and the case offers an additional 20 hours of play time. Just 10 minutes in the case gives you 60 minutes of listening pleasure, so you don’t have to worry about a dead battery ruining your workout.

Additional features include JBL’s signature Pure Bass sound profile, interchangeable earbuds, and ambient aware listening, all for $ 79.95. The JBL Endurance Race will be available in black on October 17th.

JBL JR 460NC

Children (3-10 years old) are not forgotten in this litany of publications; The wireless JBL JR 460NC are the first JBL JR headphones with active noise cancellation. ANC and JBL Safe Sound, a built-in volume limiter that limits output to 85 dB, work together to protect your child’s hearing from outside noise and unsafe playback volume. These headphones even have a built-in microphone, so your child can easily attend any virtual school.

The JR 460NC lasts 20 hours and supports fast charging. JBL designed these headphones to withstand wear and tear without breaking, and the detachable 3.5mm cable is perfect for console gaming and when the battery runs out.

The JBL JR 460NC will be available this month for $ 79.95.
