Is this the OnePlus 8T killer?
- Xiaomi launched the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro in India.
- The two phones are equipped with 144 Hz screens and Snapdragon 865 silicon.
- Expect a starting price of just under $ 500.
Xiaomi first launched its Mi 10T series last month, bringing high refresh rate LCD screens, 5G and high resolution main cameras to the table. We already knew the company planned to bring the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro to India and now that is exactly what is done.
The two devices have an array of features including a 6.67-inch 144Hz LCD screen, Snapdragon 865 processor, 8K recording, and a 5,000mAh battery with a 33W charge. The two also have a 13-megapixel rear-view camera (123-degree field of view), a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera in a hole.
However, the main difference between the two phones is that the Mi 10T Pro includes a 108-megapixel main camera, while the Mi 10T packs a 64-megapixel main shooter.
Other notable shared features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, 3D audio recording, and half a dozen automatic long exposure modes (like star trails, astrophotography, moving crowds).
What else should you know?
The standard Mi 10T will retail for Rs 35,999 (~ $ 491) for the 6GB / 128GB option, while the 8GB / 128GB variant will be available for Rs 37,999 (~ $ 518). Do you want this 108MP camera? Then expect to pay Rs 39,999 (~ $ 545) for the 8GB / 128GB Mi 10T Pro.
The two phones are available for pre-order today (October 15) starting at 11:59 p.m. IST via Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, participating retailers and Flipkart.
That price means it’s cheaper than the OnePlus 8T in India, even though you get an OLED screen with the OnePlus device. Even so, the Xiaomi phones seem to offer a lot for your money between the flagship performance, the 8K recording, the big batteries, and the high resolution cameras.
Xiaomi also launched the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2C for 2,499 rupees (~ $ 34), which offers five hours of playtime on a single charge and up to 20 hours on the charging case.
