The iPhone 13 Pro introduced ProMotion with 120 Hz displays and became a hot topic among technicians. This technology isn’t entirely new, however – the OnePlus 7 Pro (2019) was the first commercially released phone with a refresh rate of 90 Hz on an OLED display. And since then, it’s just been about improving the display to perfection.

Every new smartphone launch is associated with a number of awards for one thing or the other. However, it takes extra effort to earn praise for your smartphone display year after year. OnePlus did just that, garnering annual recognition from DisplayMate and more.

The old adage that the early bird rings the worm when it comes to brand new equipment. Regardless of the brand and independent of the function, the market launch is associated with serious rights.

OnePlus picked up the trend early and put 90 Hz OLED displays on cell phones years ahead of the competition. It added 120Hz options to the mix long before Apple brought the smooth refresh rate to the iPhone 13 Pro. In fact, the OnePlus 7 Pro was the first to bring a refresh rate of 90 Hz on a 1440p panel to the masses.

With the OnePlus 6T, OnePlus was also the first company to bring an in-display fingerprint sensor to the US market. For the whole of 2018 and early 2019, there was only one way to get your hands on the new technology in the US.

Now OnePlus is the first to support Fortnite on a mobile phone at 90 fps. The OnePlus 9 Pro introduced Fluid Display 2.0, which dynamically adapts its frame rate to your tasks. Not to mention the fact that it has a 120Hz QHD + panel.

No less than A +

Earning an A + always felt good in school. Now imagine if you got an A + three years in a row. That’s what OnePlus is up to when it comes to DisplayMate’s prestigious rankings. It started with the OnePlus 7 Pro before the OEM outdid itself on the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro to keep the high accolade.

The legendary combination of a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a large, sharp display and industry-leading technology keeps OnePlus above the competition. DisplayMate even went so far as to state that “the 9 Pro 13 smartphone display performance records set or match and DisplayMate received the highest A + rating of all time”. Breaking your own record is rarely easy, but OnePlus has always found a way.

If you want to know what all the fuss is about, you can always head over to T-Mobile for exclusive discounts on the OnePlus 9 family. The standard OnePlus 9 is currently 50% cheaper if you activate a line, or you can cut $ 375 off the price of a OnePlus 9 Pro.
