Apple announced a new version of iPadOS, its software operating system for iPads, at its annual release Worldwide developer conference on Monday. iPadOS 14 is similar to iOS 14 for mobile phones, but has been optimized to demonstrate tablet features like using Apple Pencil.

Like iOS 14, iPadOS is offered in Android style Widgets on the redesigned home screen.

iPadOS 14 offers better photo organization and consolidated navigation. The toolbars have been optimized and equipped with new drop-down menus that allow you to access apps and tools more quickly.

It also includes a universal search feature that lets you launch apps, search apps, find contacts or documents, and start web searches.

The iPad also has new improvements for the Apple Pencil, e.g. B. Scribble, an integrated handwriting recognition function. With Scribble you can manually write into any text field and it will be converted into text. You can use the pencil app to create smoother shapes.

The WWDC is taking place virtually for the first time this year Corona virus Pandemic.
