Today Huawei unveiled a number of new products including two new tablets, some watches, and its brand new (sort of) Harmony OS operating system. However, towards the end of its event, it also revealed the design of one of its most anticipated products: the Huawei P50 series.
You can see the phone’s reveal in the video below. Fast forward to the 1:57 mark to get to the good things:
Unsurprisingly, the phone’s official images come very close to the leaked renders we saw from Steve Hemmerstoffer months ago. The rear view camera module consists of two large panes in which a quad sensor array is embedded. Huawei says the phone is very thin and we believe it as the rear camera looks pretty muffled.

The phone also appears to come in a sleek gold colorway that looks positively high quality.
However, Huawei was unable to provide details on the actual launch of the phone. The English translator for the video interpreted the speech by Huawei boss Richard Yu as such: “For reasons that you are all familiar with, we have not yet set a launch date, but we are trying to find out how we can make this great product available to you. ”
That was all Yu had to say about the Huawei P50 series. Hopefully we will have more information for you soon.
