The tournament ends tonight, Saturday, April 11, at 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) with two semi-final matches and one final. That’s right: unlike a real tournament, you won’t have to wait a day or two for the championship game. It will be played between the two semi-final winners immediately after.
Each player has a pool of eight NBA teams to choose from, but can only use each team once during the tournament. The games are pre-recorded and last approximately one hour each.
NBA 2K Players tournament matches and results
Following the standard March Madness script, the NBA 2K Players Tourney has had its share of first-round upheavals. Seed Kevin Durant was rebounded by seed # 16 Derrick Jones Jr. while seed # 14 Patrick Beverley knocked off seed # 3 Hassan Whiteside and seed # 13 Rui Hachimura eliminated the seeded No. 4 Donovan Mitchell.
In another early action, Trae Young (2) with Harrison Barnes (15), Devin Booker (5) dominated Michael Porter Jr. (12) and Andre Drummond (6) destroyed DeMarcus Cousins by 52 points. Montrezl Harrell (8) beat Domantas Sabonis (9) and Deandre Ayton (10) beat Zach LaVine (7).
Thursday’s quarterfinal clashes saw remaining seed Young fall to Ayton in major upheaval as the Beverly Sixers disturbs Andre Drummond’s dollars. The highest seeded seed was Devin Booker, who will play Harrell tonight. Here are the last four for the semi-finals.
Players have been ranked based on their NBA 2K20 rating. (Ties in the rankings have been broken by seniority in the NBA.)
In addition to bragging, the tournament winner will receive $ 100,000 from the NBA, NBA2K and the National Basketball Players Association to donate to a charity of their choice to support the coronavirus rescue efforts.
