Learn how to change your Apple Watch band and stay ready for any occasion. From sports bands to woven loops, Apple Watch bands come in a variety of styles so you can choose the best band for your needs.

How to remove your Apple Watch band

Before removing your current bracelet, find a clean, soft work surface such as a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. This will minimize the risk of scratching your Apple Watch face.

  1. Lay your Apple Watch face down and find the two release buttons on the back of your watch case.
  2. Use your fingernail to press one of the release buttons and carefully slide the corresponding band off your Apple Watch.
  3. Repeat step two with the opposite release button and the rest of the tape.

If your bracelet is a metal link bracelet, separate it in two (using the quick release inside the bracelet) before removing it from your Apple Watch.

How to change your Apple Watch band

Start by learning how to take off your Apple Watch band, then slide in something new. The ability to change the bracelets from casual to high class is what makes the Apple Watch so adaptable.

  1. Follow the steps above to remove your current Apple Watch band.
  2. Align the new band on your Apple Watch (face down) and slide the band into the grooves one side at a time. You will hear a click when the strap is attached.

If your new tape doesn’t click into place, it may be upside down. Some ribbons have a little text on the inside, e.g. B. Size or product details. This can help you distinguish the front from the back. If the band is aligned correctly but you still don’t hear a click, Apple suggests wiggling the band up and down slightly to try to activate the locking mechanism. It is also possible that your tape is damaged and cannot lock securely into place. If you need a new one, purchase tons of replacement straps on Amazon.
