The key to any great smartphone is innovation. Every time a device is started with new functions, other OEMs have to catch up. At OPPO, the goal has always been to land on the innovation side. The company’s portfolio has grown significantly in recent years. The best example of powerful innovation is the OPPO Find X series.

You can probably recognize the original Find X by its push camera design and the Find X2 Pro by its leather construction and 65W SuperVOOC charging. However, the Find X journey actually began almost 10 years ago. Ready for a journey into the past of innovation? You could just learn something new.

The beginning of the Find X series – 2011

Find series origins

A new series of smartphones doesn’t just happen overnight. The OPPO team has searched for the desired innovations for years and finally launched the Find X903 in 2011. This was the company’s entry into the smartphone sphere with a keyboard that can be moved sideways.

It only took OPPO one more year to bring the Find 3 to market, dropping the nickname “X” and moving closer to modern smartphone design. The device combined a durable metal frame with stylish brushed stainless steel that never seems to go out of style.

Find 5 followed Find 3 in 2013 and once again skipped even numbers. With a new 1080p display and impressively thin 3.25mm bezels, the already high standards of OPPO have been redefined. While they may seem large by today’s standards, the Find 5 has given OPPO its own iF design award.

In 2014, OPPO’s Find 7 was introduced, while Apple and Google released the iPhone 6 and the Nexus 6, respectively. Find 7 technology for smartphone cameras has reached new heights and has a 50-megapixel main shooter on the back. It also featured a 5.5-inch QHD display and the first version of OPPO’s VOOC lightning charge.

Slide into the OPPO Find X – 2018

OPPO’s early find rates helped set the stage through 2018. Then OPPO launched the Find X, which the company calls the first phone with a panoramic design. It combines two pieces of glass for a seamless experience and is rounded off by a 6.4-inch display with an incredible screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%.

However, you will most likely remember the Find X for its revolutionary glide design. It cleared the display of nicks or potholes and used powerful 3D stealth cameras instead. You could just press a button and the Find X’s cameras would silently click into place.

The pop-up camera is now a design we’ve recreated from other brands, but the Find series isn’t finished yet.

Reach new heights with the Find X2 Pro – 2020

The Find X2 Pro was launched just a year ago in March 2020 and lived up to its name in a way that some phones rarely can. With the Find X2 Pro, OPPO has left nothing to chance. It all started with the 6.7-inch display.

OPPO opted for a crisp QHD + AMOLED device to keep pushing its charge through 2020, with particular emphasis on the refresh rate, color depth, and HDR support. As if that wasn’t enough, OPPO wanted to make sure your Find X2 Pro would run at its maximum performance for hours. The large 4,260 mAh battery has been combined with a 65 W SuperVOOC charge to get you back to full power in just 38 minutes.

We have now reached today and the new OPPO Find X3 Pro is just around the corner. You may be wondering what else is there to innovate at this point, and OPPO’s answer is to add a billion colors. The large 6.7-inch QHD + display has a 10-bit full path color management system and a flowing, curved design.

OPPO’s brand new Find X3 Pro is adorned with sleek panes of glass on both the front and back, and the back protrudes from the raised camera body. It is based on two main Sony IMX766 lenses to capture wide and super wide images. A 25x microlens brings close-ups at the macro level into view.

The Find X3 Pro is not only intended for pictures thanks to the powerful Snapdragon 888 chipset, which should provide the necessary carbon copy. The 4,500 mAh battery is just the right size for all day. If you need a quick boost, you should be able to get 40% of your battery back in just 10 minutes.
