What are Hulu Profiles?
Simply put, Hulu profiles allow subscribers to give family members their own Hulu experience. Instead of just seeing one screen with all of the service’s movies and TV shows, you can create custom profiles. Each family member will then be able to see the movies and TV shows they have streamed, and will also receive individual recommendations for the series and movies they may want to see.
How many profiles can you have on Hulu?
Currently, the service allows each account holder to add up to five Hulu profiles for a total of six Hulu profiles.
How many profiles can Hulu watch at the same time?
While you can have up to six Hulu profiles on one account, the service with the two basic plans only allows up to two simultaneous streams on the same account. However, if you sign up for the much more expensive Hulu Plus Live TV plans, there is another option. You can pay an additional $ 9.99 per month for the Unlimited Screens add-on. It allows you and your family members to stream on an unlimited number of devices on your home network at the same time.

There are two exceptions to this additional add-on. If you get Hulu Plus Live TV and the Ultimate Screens option, and then sign up for one or more of the optional pay-TV movie channels (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, and Starz), you will only be able to watch those specific channels in Up mode five devices at the same time via Hulu on your home network. If you or other family members leave your home network to stream Hulu Plus Live TV with the Unlimited Screens add-on, your simultaneous streams will be reached with a limit of up to three mobile devices at the same time.

There are three different ways to create and add a new profile on Hulu:
How to add a profile on Hulu.com (PC users)
- Move your mouse over to your account icon in the top right corner of the page and click on it.
- Click on that My account Selection in the menu
- You may be asked for your Hulu account password. If so, enter it then click log in.
- Hover your mouse over your account icon again and then click on it
- Click on that Manage profiles Selection in the menu.
- Click on that (+) Add profile Box.
- You then enter the person’s name for this new profile along with their birthday. You will also be asked for the person’s gender, or you can choose Better not give any information.
- Finally click on Create profile to add the new one to Hulu.
How to add a profile in the Hulu mobile apps
If you’re using Hulu’s iOS or Android mobile app, here’s how to create and add a new profile
- Open the Hulu app and tap the account icon at the bottom of the app
- Select your name to open the Profiles Page.
- Tap that (+) New profile selection.
- Enter the Name, Date of Birth, and Gender fields for this new profile
- When you’re done, tap Create profile to add the new one to Hulu.
How to add a profile to Hulu TV apps (smart TVs, game consoles, set-top boxes, and streaming sticks)
To create a new Hulu profile in bigger screen apps:
- Open the app and just choose (+) New profile from the profile screen
- If the app is already open, go to account, then choose Profiles, and finally choose (+) New profile
- As before, enter the Name, Date of Birth, and Gender fields for this new profile.
- Finally choose Create profile to add the new one to Hulu.

If you start Hulu and find that the current profile is not your own, here’s how to switch to your own Hulu profile.

- Hover your mouse over your account icon on the page and click on it
- Then just click on the Hulu profile you want and you should be done

- Then just tap on the profile you want and you should be ready to look at it.

- Select and click on that account symbol
- Choose Profiles from the menu

How to delete a profile on Hulu
If any of your family members no longer want to use your account to sign in to the service, here’s how to delete a profile on Hulu. Remember, after you delete a Hulu profile, there is no way you can get it back. Also, you can’t delete the primary Hulu profile on your account at all; You can just edit it.
You can also delete profiles on the Hulu.com website only. How to handle it:
- Hover over your account name in the top right corner of the page.
- Click on Manage profiles in the menu.
- Use the edit icon to select the profile that you want to delete. You should then see the Edit Profile pop-up.
- In the pop-up window, choose window delete profile
- Finally, confirm that you want to delete it.
How to delete all profiles from Hulu
If you want to delete everyone but your own primary Hulu account profile, there is a way to do that too. Again, this can only be done through the Hulu.com website.
- Hover over your account name in the top right corner of the page.
- Click on account in the menu.
- Scroll down to the Privacy and settings in the lower right corner of the page and then click California Data protection rights.
- Under the Manage activity box, Click on that Profiles Check box option.
- Finally, click on that Delete selected box.
How to edit a profile
If you just want to change the name of a Hulu profile instead of deleting it, here’s how.
How to edit profiles on Hulu.com (PC and Android users)
Both PC and Android users need to go to the Hulu.com website to edit profiles, with Android users accessing them through their mobile web browser.
- Hover over your account name in the top right corner of the page.
- Select the specific profile that you want to edit. You should see the Edit Profile pop-up window.
- Make the desired changes to the profile in the pop-up window.
- Finally, choose Save Changes.
How to edit on iOS devices
- Tap your own profile first.
- Tap the icon with your own initials.
- Tap the To edit Option and select which profile you want to edit.
- Make any necessary changes to the profile.
- Finally, tap Save Changes.
How to edit Hulu TV apps
- After launching the app, go to your account and select it.
- Choose Profiles from the menu.
- Go to the profile you want to change, then select To edit.
- Make the updates to the profile that you want.
- Finally choose Save Changes.
How to create a child profile
Hulu has a lot of adult or adult content. If you have a family with children, you can set up a special profile that will keep this type of content out of their eyes. By creating a child profile, they can only view content in the Hulu Kids Hub area. Films and TV programs for children up to 12 years of age are shown.

- Follow the first steps of the procedure when creating a new profile as described above.
