If you’ve ever put a gaming PC through its paces, you know the importance of staying cool. After all, you can’t score points with the best if your machine can’t keep up. Lenovo took the same idea and introduced it into the Legion Phone Duel 2 in the form of two fans.

This powerful pair of fans transforms the Legion Phone Duel 2 from the original passive cooling system into an active system. Lenovo’s ATA 2.0 architecture also helps manage the heat generated by distributing key internals across the large body. You will also find an internal steam chamber there that completes the cooling upgrades.

More triggers for better control

The original Legion Phone Duel came with two built-in triggers to free you from the controls in the display. While they were a great addition, Lenovo quickly realized that there are often more than two controls per game. With this in mind, the OEM turned the controls for the Legion Phone Duel 2 to eight.

You will now find a total of four ultrasonic shoulder buttons and two capacitive touch points on the back. The Legion Phone Duel 2 is rounded off by a pair of touchpoints in the display and a new Dual HaptiX engine. The haptic system is geared towards horizontal gameplay, which is a must on a gaming device. Lenovo has carefully positioned the triggers to comfortably fit your natural playing position.

Sharper cameras for a sharper display

If you want to enlarge the display by almost half an inch, you can make the most of your space. At least that’s the idea with Lenovo’s new Pixelwork i6 AI tuning. The new processor raises the bar with stronger colors and a fast refresh rate of 144 Hz. Don’t get us wrong, the original Legion Phone Duel had a clear 144Hz display, but the new processor goes a step further.

Coupled with the better display, you’ll immediately notice a much sharper selfie camera. The Legion Phone Duel was already very powerful with a 20 megapixel pop-up lens, but the sequel jumps all the way to 44 megapixels. It’s still a side-mounted popup unit so you can easily capture all of your best game reactions and stream them to your friends or fans.
