Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to the 2017 adventure game Horizon Zero Dawn, was announced during Sony’s PS5 event last week with no release date. Developers guerrilla games on Wednesday narrowed it down in a video showcase: it is slated to launch in 2021.

“In an open world game like Horizon Forbidden West, restarting from a checkpoint is very quick if you open the map and travel quickly from one end to the other,” he said in the video. “And when you start the game, you’re right there – in action.”
This open world will be quite large – de Jonge noted that the Forbidden West title refers to “a mysterious new frontier” that stretches from Utah to the Pacific – and looks absolutely adorable.
Other key PS5 games that Sony introduced during the event included: Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Resident Evil Village, Gran Turismo 7 and a whole group of others.
