No need to wonder when your Huawei device will get EMUI 11 XDA Huawei has released a schedule detailing when your phone or tablet will receive the Android update.
As a rule, Huawei assumes that the smartphone lines P40 and Mate 30 will initially be updated to EMUI 11 according to this schedule. Users in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Russia can expect the new software as early as December 2020. Users in Latin America and Japan must be stuck by January 2021.

Everyone else has to wait until the new year. The Mate XS and Nova 7 will receive their updates in January. Other qualifying devices, including the P30 series, the Mate 20 series, the MatePad Pro, and the MediaPad M6, will not be updated until the first quarter of 2021 (March at the latest).
Wherever your device is on this schedule, you can expect Huawei to deliver a number of improvements with EMUI 11. It’s based on Android 10, but you get customizations for the always-on display, smart multitasking, more refined animations, and tighter privacy controls. PC integration is accelerated by the simultaneous support of up to three apps on your computer, and Huawei’s Celia voice assistant works in Italian and German.
You should also see some Android 11 features reaching the new OS. However, Huawei has emphasized that there is no rush to adopt Google’s latest platform. The company believes it can outperform Google in some ways, and there are fewer incentives to roll out Android 11 when the U.S. trade ban has denied newer phones access to Google apps and services. Like it or not, Huawei is determined to go its own way.
