Here’s how the OnePlus 9 series displays could differ
- A new leak may have given us display-related specs for the OnePlus 9 series.
- The leak also revealed what battery and charging details could be.
The OnePlus 9 series will be launched later this year, and we’ve already spotted some obvious leaks. From the name to the design, a clear picture emerges before the start date.
Now maybe a tipster has worked out some details. Weibo Leaker’s Digital Chat Station claimed that the OnePlus 9 will include a 6.55-inch FHD + 120 Hz flat panel display. In the meantime, the leaker says that the OnePlus 9 Pro will serve a curved 6.78-inch QHD + 120 Hz panel. Both are provided with a cutout in the left corner.
This is also not the information offered by the source as it claims that you can count on a 4,500 mAh battery as well. Additionally, in a comment below the post, the treat noted that 65W fast charging is also offered.
However, it is unclear whether the claimed battery size and fast charging speed apply to both devices. For example, the OnePlus 8 series had identical wired charging speeds, but the Pro variant offered a slightly larger battery and wireless charging. So we wouldn’t be surprised if the same scenario played out with the OnePlus 9 series.
The leak also occurs a few days after the discovery that OnePlus and Oppo are essentially pooling their research and development efforts. We therefore expect the OnePlus and Oppo devices to have more in common by 2021.
