TL; DR
- A number of press renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 have just leaked.
- The renders show a design that matches that of a previously leaked Galaxy Watch Active 4. It seems that the two clocks are one and the same.
- The press renders include branding so there is little doubt that this is the Galaxy Watch 4.
Earlier this week we reported on a number of leaked renders of an upcoming Samsung branded smartwatch. Judging by the design, we (and the rest of the tech world) guessed that the renders were for the Galaxy Watch Active 4.
However, a large set of press renders has just leaked 91 Cell Phones via an anonymous source. The renders show a watch that is pretty much what we thought was the Galaxy Watch Active 4. It seems we were wrong, and all the renders we’ve seen are likely from the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4!

That could mean that at least there won’t be an Active version of the next Galaxy Watch yet.
This design represents a seismic shift for the Galaxy Watch range. Considering that it will likely come with completely new software, that makes a lot of sense. However, if you love the designs of previous Galaxy Watches, you might get a shock when you see what the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is likely to be.
Check out the renders for yourself below.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 press renders
A closer look at the back of the watch reveals some of the supposed specs of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. We can see that there will likely be two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. This is in line with previous rumors. There will likely also be 5 ATM water resistance, MIL-STD 810G durability, and a built-in GPS. It could also have Gorilla Glass DX Plus, which we saw on previous Galaxy Watches.
Obviously, it is incredibly likely that this watch will be the debut of the new wearable operating system from Google and Samsung, tentatively known as Wear OS 3.0. However, these images do not contain enough information to actually confirm this. We’ll likely find out on June 28th when Samsung holds its wearable software press event.
