- An APK breakdown of the new OnePlus Health app reveals a lot of information about the as-yet-unreleased OnePlus band.
- As you’d expect with a renamed Oppo app, OnePlus’ sister company is heavily referenced throughout the code.
- There are even references to the Oppo watch, although this is likely a placeholder and not evidence that the OnePlus watch will just be a renamed Oppo watch.
We already told you today how a new OnePlus Health app just appeared in the Google Play Store. But you cannot install it on your phone a member of the German Technology news team grabbed the APK and tore it apart. The code contained therein illuminates the OnePlus Health app as well as the upcoming OnePlus Band and OnePlus Watch.
Unsurprisingly, the app refers to Oppo everywhere. Given that the OnePlus Health app is a barely renamed version of Oppo’s own HeyTap Health app, that’s to be expected. Much of this code could just be placeholder text, but it changes when it is launched to the public.

However, certain aspects of the APK specifically refer to the OnePlus band. There are even renderings of the device with the OnePlus logo, so it is clear that at least parts of the APK will be finalized with OnePlus rebranding.
OnePlus band pictures and feature demos
We’ve already seen some watch faces for the band in the official screenshots from the OnePlus Health app. The code includes two more that we haven’t seen yet:

In addition, the code contains a rendering of the OnePlus tape. There are also a render of the Oppo WatchHowever, there is the OnePlus logo on the tape rendering. It is possible that the Oppo Watch rendering is there as the upcoming OnePlus Watch will merely be a rebranding of that device, but there is no evidence of it. It’s far more likely that the Oppo device is in the code as a placeholder.
However, the band rendering is certainly not a placeholder:
Elsewhere in the APK code you can find videos showing how various functions of the OnePlus ribbon work. Below is a short video example of a user starting to track their SpO2 level:
You can see more videos like the one above in the twitter thread.
We expect OnePlus to launch the OnePlus Band very soon, possibly even next week. Stay tuned.
