It’s been a little over a month since Realme unveiled the Watch 2, which picks up on the budget fitness smartwatch. For those who want more from their wearable, the company has now introduced the Realme Watch 2 Pro.
Visually, the Watch 2 Pro does not differ much from its non-Pro siblings. A single button is on the right side of the watch. Two detachable silicone strap options are also included, namely light gray and black.
The Watch 2 Pro has a larger display than the Watch 2 and measures 1.75 inches from corner to corner. It’s also denser with a resolution of 320 x 385 compared to the Watch 2’s 240 x 240 panel. The Watch 2 Pro’s screen also has a refresh rate of 30 Hz and a peak brightness of 600 nits. This should make outdoor gloss stats a breeze.
As for fitness smarts, the Watch 2 Pro offers tracking for up to 90 activities. GPS support for runners and cyclists too. It also includes an SpO2 sensor and a continuous heart rate monitor. Sleep tracking, sedentary reminders, notifications about water intake, and a meditation function are also provided.
Other special features are a 390 mAh battery, which is suitable for 14 days between charges, and some rudimentary smartwatch functions with over 100 faces. The Watch 2 Pro also has protection class IP68.
Realme Watch 2 Pro: price and availability
The Watch 2 Pro is officially available in Malaysia for 299 Malaysian ringgit (~ $ 72). That’s significantly cheaper than the Watch 2’s 229 Malaysian ringgit sticker price (~ $ 56). For avid runners on a budget, the Watch 2 Pro could be a much cheaper gateway alternative to more reputable GPS watches. However, the global pricing and availability details remain a mystery for now.
