  • A new Google Chromebook appeared in a Play Console list.
  • The device, codenamed Zork, will appear to be equipped with AMD silicon.
  • It is unclear when the device will make its official debut.

The news of a new Chromebook from Google first surfaced in late 2019. Benchmarks for this device, code-named Zork, were published in April. The same device is apparently back and is now showing up in the Google Play Console.

Speckled by 91MobileThe list shows the most important technical specifications of the Chromebook. The Google Zork will apparently be equipped with all-AMD silicon, which is controlled by a dual-core quad-thread Ryzen 3 3250C with 3.5 GHz. It connects to 4 GB of RAM and a Radeon Vega 3 GPU running at 1.2 GHz.

Although the console list says the Zork is running Android 9, it seems more likely that it is running Chrome OS as it is called the Chromebook. Notably, the mention of Android 9 also appeared on the Geekbench lists in April. Benchmarks are easy to manipulate, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Further features are a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 with a pixel density of 160 PPI. This indicates a diagonal display size of around 14 inches.

Currently, memory counts, I / O, dimensions and price are unknown. That said, it’s likely that this particular machine won’t be a new flagship Pixelbook, but we wouldn’t rule out future models with faster AMD hardware.

It is unclear when Google Zork will make its official debut or what nickname it will eventually have. Judging by its appearance on the Play Console, we wouldn’t be too surprised to learn more about it in the months ahead.
