Google Pixel 6 series pre-order and release dates leaked
TL; DR
- According to a new leak, the Google Pixel 6 series is expected to be pre-ordered from October 19th.
- The phones could finally be released on October 28th.
- There’s still no word on an official launch date, but a September reveal seems unlikely.
According to the tipster, Google will open pre-orders for the Pixel 6 series on October 19. The phones would eventually go on sale and hit shelves the following week, October 28th.
Prosser claims these details came from some of his best industry sources. That doesn’t necessarily mean that September 13th, recently tapped on Weibo, is completely out of the question. The Pixel 5 was also announced in September last year. However, if the October 19th pre-order date is correct, as Prosser points out, it could very well be the day Google announced the Pixel 6 duo.
Alternatively, when Google makes the new Pixels official in September, it would mean months of waiting for buyers who want to pre-book the devices. The company usually doesn’t have that big a gap between smartphone announcements and market availability.
However, with this new leak, Google seems to be waiting for the new iPhone 13 series before launching its flagships. But we won’t know for sure until we hear from the company themselves. At least in these eight countries, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro should be available at launch. Visit our dedicated rumor hub to find out more about the phones.
