TL; DR
- The Google Pixel 6 will be launched on October 19, 2021.
- This is the same leaked start date that we heard from multiple sources.
- Google will announce at least two new Pixel phones, but it could also reveal more.
After months of speculation and rumors, we finally have a confirmed launch date for the next flagship phones from Google. On October 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. ET, we will finally know all about the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
However, Google will not “reveal” much at the event. Through a combination of leaks and official announcements from the company itself, we already know a lot about the Google Pixel 6 series. We know what they look like, what their camera systems are, and even know something about the mysterious tensor processor that powers them.
The biggest thing we’re waiting for at this introductory event is the price of the phones. The latest rumors suggest that the Vanilla Pixel 6 could land in the $ 700 to $ 800 range. In the meantime, the Google Pixel 6 Pro could fall in the more than $ 1,000 range.
Another question we have is what else Google could come up with at this event. It is specifically referred to as a “Pixel” event, so it is unlikely that we will see any non-pixel products. Could there be a Pixelbook 2 or even the supposedly foldable Pixel? We will see.
It is quite possible that Google will reveal even more tidbits about the devices by October 19. Stay tuned here as we will update you with any new information we find!
