- A semi-reliable leaker has just shared some supposed renders from Google Pixel 6 and an unprecedented Google Pixel 6 Pro.
- The renders show a phone that is very different from anything we’ve ever seen on the pixel line.
- If the rendering turns out to be legitimate, Pixel fans may finally finally get what they’ve always wanted in a Pixel.
Google has changed a lot about the Pixel line in the last year. It did not ship a phone with flagship silicon, but rather affordable phones that do well with the basic functions that users have come to expect.
However, there is a chance it won’t this year. Jon Prosser and Front page Tech Only split renders for supposedly Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro. In theory, the Pixel 6 Pro could be the flagship Pixel fans have wanted for years, while the Pixel 6 could continue Google’s trend of keeping things affordable.
Before we get into that, however, Prosser doesn’t have an outstanding track record of leaks. Therefore, approach these renderers with great skepticism. When all is said, take a look at them below (h / t Telephone arena).
Leaked rendering of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
As you can see, these renderings suggest phones with a tri-color design. The camera bump extends from edge to edge across the back and is surrounded by what appears to be black glass. Above and below the elevation are two different color schemes that are applied to what appears to be glass.
The vanilla Pixel 6 in these renderers appears to have a dual lens camera system. The Google Pixel 6 Pro render now has a three-lens system. This would be the first time a Pixel phone has more than two lenses. In theory, they would be a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto photo, although the renderers make no claim to that.
The fronts of the phone renders have a single, centered cutout for the selfie camera. This would mean there would be a built-in fingerprint sensor, as secure face unlocking wouldn’t be possible with just a single camera. The background image included in the rendering suggests that it is. This would also be a first for the Pixel Line if that were the case.
Finally, you’ll notice a smartwatch in the renders as well. This is a previously shared render prosser that it claims is a pixel clock. However, this rendering is based on a source’s visual memory for what they supposedly saw. Of course, it is entirely possible that a pixel clock is on the move and this is what it looks like, but we are skeptical.
