Google Pixel 6 Pro hands-on of prototype leaks

Hands-on prototype of Google Pixel 6 Pro

TL; DR

  • A handy video about Google Pixel 6 Pro just appeared on Twitter.
  • The short video shows a prototype model that looks almost identical to what we expect from the retail models.
  • Assuming there aren’t drastic differences between this and the final product, this is our best look at the Pixel 6 Pro yet.

Although Google has already shown us its upcoming flagships, we haven’t seen them “in flesh and blood” so to speak. Aside from the glazed immovable models on display in New York City, we only saw renderings.

That changes today … somehow. On twitter, M. Brandon Lee shared a prototype hands-on video of Google Pixel 6 Pro. The model is definitely not a sales unit – the logo on the back is a dead giveaway. It appears to be a late-stage prototype, however, and could very well be a dead wrestler for the models we’ll see in stores later this year.

Check out the video embedded in the tweet below.

The short video shows a gray prototype Google Pixel 6 Pro flipped over in a person’s hand. We can also see the home screen that Android 12 displays when you first set up the device. Note that the home screen is in dark mode instead of the usual light mode, which is fun.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of new information out of this handy video on Google Pixel 6 Pro. It looks great, however, and should make people even more excited about the launch later. Speaking of which, we’re pretty confident that the launch date could be October 19th, which is just around the corner.
