Google brings night mode to entry-level phones through Android Go

Sure, Google is making low-light photography a staple on their Pixel phones, but what about cheaper phones? Do not worry, you are covered. Google has started Roll out A night mode in the Camera Go app on Android Go improves image quality on lower-cost phones without relying on flash.
This isn’t the Pixel’s night vision device, to be clear. You won’t forget that you’re using a budget phone that some of Google’s AI assistants lack. It works by taking a series of photos at different exposures and merging them into a single result, much like the night modes on many devices. However, the camera app for Android Go achieves its performance on low-end hardware with an app that is optimized for specific camera modules.
This hardware focus, at least initially, limits exactly where you can find the function. Google is making night mode available for the first time on Android Go for Nokia 1.3, Wiko Y61 and Wiko Y81. You’ll have to wait a while to see an updated camera app on other Android Go models.

Whatever device you have, more features will be available soon. Google has been annoyed that Camera Go supports HDR photography through an update that will be available later this fall. For some, this might be the bigger update. HDR can improve the quality of photos in a variety of scenarios, not just at night – it can’t completely make up for a mediocre camera sensor, but it can bridge the gap if your phone has a tendency to take poorly exposed pictures.
