Roborock
A few months ago I rebuilt my basement and the resulting raw layer made it the perfect test site for the Roborock S5 – a robot vacuum that can also wipe. Overall, it did a great job, so I’m happy to share this deal: For a limited time and while stocks last, Amazon has it Roborock S5 2000Pa all-floor vacuum cleaner for $ 360 with promo code ROBOROCKS5. That’s the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this vacuum.
I owned early generation Roombas and the latest generation Ecovacs, but the S5 is still my favorite robot to this day. The main reason is that it seems smarter and more efficient than others I’ve tried.
The companion app offers you many cleaning options, for example. You can set up virtual barriers, restricted zones, zone-only zones, etc. All of this is possible thanks to the S5’s laser mapping capabilities, which also allow it to clean in an orderly pattern, rather than just randomly poking around.
The S5 has a suction power of 2,000 Pascal (which is very high with Robo-Vacs) and has a large battery which, according to Roborock, is suitable for around 2.5 hours of cleaning. This is at the expense of the dust container, which is located on the smaller side. Similarly, you can only wipe the water tank for about 30 minutes before you need to refill it. (Fortunately, that was enough time to clean my basement, which is about 800 square feet.)
CNET hasn’t checked the S5, so I’ll take you to Matthew Miller’s ZDNet test. Conclusion: “A great artist at a price that is reasonable given its performance, efficiency, and utility.” And that was based on an Amazon price of $ 464 at the time. (Currently it’s $ 480, but $ 600.) Speaking of Amazon, over 3,500 customers rated the robot 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Yes, you may not know the Roborock brand, but in my opinion this is as good as some of the latest Roombas – at a much cheaper price.
