Get a deal on an Asus gaming laptop at Amazon or Best Buy

The Asus ROG Zephyrus is the thinnest and most compact gaming notebook in the company. Despite its features that pack a 15.6-inch display into a 14-inch case, the ROG Zephyrus doesn’t affect performance. It offers the latest silicon from AMD and Intel as well as GPUs from the current GeForce RTX series from Nvidia.

The RTX 2060 is the budget card in Nvidia’s current RTX product line and, besides ray tracing, offers an excellent price-performance ratio that reproduces the behavior of light in the real world to give games a more photo-realistic look. Located in the sweet spot of Nvidia’s offerings, it offers plenty of performance and the latest graphics technology without increasing the price of a gaming rig to $ 2,000 or more. There are currently two 15-inch ROG Zephyrus models with RTX 2060 graphics that are reduced to an attractive $ 1,550. Best Buy offers an Intel-based device and Amazon offers an AMD-based model with a similar price. Let’s have a look.

Asus ROG M15 GU502GV: $ 1,550

This 15-inch model features a ninth generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 16 GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics. The Core i7-9750H has six physical cores and 12 processing threads with a base frequency of 2.6 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.5 GHz.

The 15.6-inch display offers a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels as well as a fast refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 3 ms. According to Best Buy, the laptop is only 0.7 inches thick and weighs only 4.3 pounds. It is currently available with a $ 200 discount.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 GA502IV-XS76: $ 1,500

This AMD-based model at Amazon is almost identical to the Intel-based sales model at Best Buy and costs $ 50 less. It has the same range of components while the Intel Core i7 chip is exchanged for the AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS, which has eight cores and 16 threads with a frequency between 2.9 GHz and 4.2 GHz.

It also offers a faster display with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The price was only $ 1,600 last week, which makes the current price an attractive offer for an RTX 2060-based gaming laptop.
