It is physically impossible to distance yourself during a social Driving testSo the state of Georgia eliminates the most nerve-wracking part of obtaining a driver’s license during the Corona virus Pandemic.

Georgia’s governor Brian Kemp signed a contract last week top command This eliminates the test part of the licensing process. The state will rely on truthful parents to sign the requirements for young drivers to obtain their driver’s license.

All other requirements for obtaining a driver’s license are still mandatory, e.g. B. 40 hours of monitored travel time and a passed grade for the written part of the entire process. Of course, it will be very easy for parents to log out without meeting the 40 hour requirement. The driving test is arguably the most important part of passing the test because, as you know, it tests driver skills on the open road.

People between the ages of 16 and 18 who have had a learning permit for a year and a day can now simply go online and get their license after receiving the OK of a parent or legal guardian. If a new driver has a violation in his file, the state automatically denies him a license. If you are over 18 and have a Leaner permit, it will automatically be updated to a license. Those without a learning permit must still take the various written exams and make an appointment. The Georgia Department of Driver Services is largely closed, but appointments for certain services are available.

The order is not valid for motorcyclists or those who want to receive their CDL, but for those in the valid group they will get away without the formal driving tests by mid-May.
